How will you decide?

On November 8th Mississippi will hold general elections. Also on the ballot will be three very important initiatives on which we will have the opportunity to vote: Personhood, eminent domain, and voter I.D.  Below, you will find the exact wording as it will appear on the ballots. What do you think of these initiatives and how will you plan to support or defeat them?

Statewide Initiative Measure No. 26 - The Personhood Ammendment

Should the term ‘person’ be defined to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the equivalent thereof?

Statewide Initiative Measurement No. 27 - Voter I.D.

Should the Mississippi Constitution be amended to require a person to submit a government issued photo identification in order to vote?

Statewide Initiative Measure No. 31 - Eminent Domain

Should government be prohibited from taking private property by eminent domain and then transferring it to other persons?

Should you have to pass a test in order to exercise your right to vote?

Alexander Hamilton felt that the strength of a democratic government relied heavily  upon the participation of an educated populace. He said,"The vote is too precious to be wasted on the ignorant." Given the political climate today and the wealth of information that we have access to, do you feel that his opinion still holds true? Do you think that a citizen of legal voting age should be required to pass a political competency test in order to exercises their right to vote?
